Health Minister Himanta Challenged by KMSS for Open Discussion

Today, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) asked Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma to unveil the list of assets that he holds in his own name and in the names of his spouse and other family members.
It has also demanded for arrangements to get the call records of all the phones utilized by the Minister since 2001, under the purview of the CBI probe on the several-crore swindle of NC Hills.
It has also challenged the Minister to participate in an open discussion with its chiefs at the Guwahati Press Club on the matters relating to the NC Hills scam and the assets of the Minister.
In a statement here, the voluntary organization also made it apparent that its Secretary, Akhil Gogoi never accused that Health Minister had taken a gift from the NC Hills scam stained official, RH Khan in the shape of a luxurious car.
The KMSS said that its Secretary Gogoi had in point of fact claimed an explanation from the Minister on the accusation made by a lot of quarters that he had accepted a plush car from RH Khan.
It also repeated that the demand for increasing the range of the CBI investigation into the multi-crore NC Hills swindle by letting the examining group cover all the divisions in its inquiry in to the gross monetary wrongdoings in the independent council of the Hills district.
