Five labourers injured in mishap in Assam

Morigaon (Assam): At least five persons, mostly daily labourers, were seriously injured when the truck inb which they were travelling plunged into a water body in central Assam's Morigaon district today.

Police said a sand-laden truck was crossing the Lalibeel waterbody when the wooden bridge on the Morigaon-Lahorighat road collapsed.

The injured included the driver and handiman of the vehicle.

They are being treated in the Morigaon civil hospital.
