Guwahati, Mar 8 :The Union Government has convened a tripartite talk on the Assam Accord implementation on March 18 at New Delhi.
This was disclosed by AASU advisor Samujjal Kr Bhattacharya in a press conference today. The meeting has been organised following a discussion between the AASU delegation and Union Home Secretary G K Pillai last month at Guwahati.
Meanwhile, AASU and the Mishing Students Union jointly urged the state government to stop construction at the lower Subansiri hydel project being constructed by the National Hydel Power Corporation (NHPC). A dharna is also being organised on Friday at Guwahati.
