In Assam, hectic political activity is gearing up after the issuance of formal notification for the first phase of Assembly Election scheduled to be held on 4th of next month. But no candidates have submitted nomination forms on the first day of notification (10th March). The last day of filing nominations for this phase of election cancellation of nomination has been fixed on 17th and 21ST of this month respectively. The ruling coalition partner of Congress, Bodoland People’s Front and BJP declared their first and third list of candidates respectively.
