Assam PWD minister has more assets than CM Gogoi

Guwahati, Jan 15 (PTI) Assam Chief Minister TarunGogoi has less assets than his Cabinet colleague Ajanta Neog,going by the details of their property put up on the officialwebsite.

The assets of Gogoi and some of his ministerialcolleagues were put up in the government''s portal today.

Gogoi has declared the value of his property to beRs 54 lakh which include two residential plots and a buildinghere and a flat in New Delhi.

According to the website, the chief minister has atotal liability of more than Rs 18 lakh.

PWD minister Ajanta Neog has property of Rs 66 lakh,while Social Welfare Minister Akon Bora has assets worth Rs19 lakh.

While the income statements were uploaded in theofficial website, there was no clear picture of the totalincome and expenditures of many of the ministers.

When contacted, a government spokesman said thewebsite will be updated soon and only then a clear picturewill emerge.

Other ministers have not disclosed their assets, whilesome of them have shown item-wise fractional display ofproperties and liabilities.

The assets of prominent ministers like CulturalAffairs Minister Bharat Chandra Narah, Transport MinisterChandan Brahma and Education Minister Gautam Bora and Labourand Employment Minister Prithvi Majhi were not available inthe website.
