Assam Regiment celebrates raising day

Shillong, Jun 16 : The Assam Regiment celebrated its 69th Raising 2010' at Happy Valley here.

The celebration started with Col R C Khajuria, Commandant, Assam Regimental Centre, laying wreath at the Centre War Memorial yesterday to pay homage to the comrades who had made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.

This was followed by flag hoisting at the Quarter Guard and Special Sainik Sammelan' at Parson Parade ground, where personnel excelling in different fields/disciplines were felicitated.
