Jorhat (Assam), May 7 : An Assam MLA was today injured when his car rammed into a stationary truck at Burapahar near Kaziranga National Park.
Police sources said that the accident occurred when Rupjyoti Kurmi, Congress legislator from Mariani, was on his way to Guwahati from his constituency.
Two of his personal security officers and the vehicle driver were also injured. They were taken to Guwahati Medical College Hospital where condition of the driver was stated to be critical.
Kurmi and his PSOs were out of danger, the police sources said.
