About the Royal Bengal Tiger and the best places where you have a chance to see it in wild.
The Royal Bengal Tiger is the biggest cat found in the Indian subcontinent. It is small than its Siberian cousin but its color is far brighter. It is estimated that in the last century the population of the Royal Bengal Tiger was around 40,000 but as per the recent survey of 2007 it is estimated that the population is between 1,300 -1,500.
The main reason for this decline in population was extensive poaching. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts to protect this endangered animal the hunting is still going on. As a result of this there are a few places in the world where you can see this magnificent creature in wild. Some of the places where you can see this animal in the wild in India are:
1. Corbett Tiger Reserve in Uttaranchal, India.
2. Kahna Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India.
3. Manas Tiger Reserve in Assam, India.
4. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, India.
