Sourav Ganguly to play against Jharkhand and Assam in Vijay Hazare

Kolkata, Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, among fifteen, has been named for Bengal to play against Jharkhand and Assam in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to be played at Eden Gardens on February 15 and 17 respectively.

Announcing the squad, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Joint Secretary Arun Kumar Mitra today said Ganguly, however, would not be available for the match against Tripura on February 19, also to be played at Eden.

Two games are to be played simultaneously at Eden Gardens and Jadavpur University campus in the 50-over east zone chapter of the Vijay Hazara Trophy. Orissa, Bengal, Jharkhand, Tripura and Assam are in the contest of the 50-over East Zone championship.

Following are players: Laxmi Ratan Shukla (captain), Wriddhiman Saha (wicket keeper), S Ganguly, Arindam Ghosh, Dibyendu Chakraborty, Debabrta Das, Manoj Tiwary, Iresh Saxena, Ranadeb Bose, Sourav Sarkar, Ashoke dinda, Ritam Kundu, Shreevasts Goswami, Avik Chowdhury and Abhisek Banerjee.
