`Specialised courses can solve unemployment problem`

IMPHAL, Jan 29 : A six months certificate course in Injection Moulding and Machine Operator which is being held from January 28 to July 27 started today at CIPET in Imphal`s Takyelpat under the sponsorship of the department of development of north eastern region (DONER), government of India.

Speaking on the commencement of certificate course, Y Irabot Singh, commerce and industries minister of Manipur as the chief guest said that the course would give benefit to the growing students and the unemployment problems could be solved to some extent by starting such courses.

In the six months certificate course, selected students, 10 from Nagaland, five from Mizoram and 15 from Manipur are participating. After the completion of the course students willing to work would be given assistance, the CIPET project officer, Imo Thiyam said.

The function was also attended by K Mangi Singh, director planning, government of Manipur, Dhiraj Yumnam, director commerce and industries of Manipur and Md AR Khan, commissioner of labour and employment as guests of honour and president respectively.
