May 23The Tarun Gogoi-led Congress-Bodoland peoples Front Government in Assam has completed fourth year in power. Mr. Gogoi-led Congress Government is in power of the State consecutively for the second term since 2001. A programme has been organized at Khanapara play ground in Guwahati today to mark the occasion. Besides elected representatives, grassroot-level party workers and panchayat representatives are taking part in the programme. The occasion will be celebrated in a lackluster manner in view of yesterday’s tragic plane crash in Mangalore. According to official sources, all entertainment programmes organized to mark the occasion has been cancelled to condole the demise in the plane crash.AIR Guwahati Correspondent reports that the Tarun-Gogoi-led Congress Government has been able to bring noticeable changes in rural economy as well as rural connectivity during its continuous nine year rule in the State. Several new schemes have also been launched in health and employment generation sectors.
